In this role you help customers modernise applications and adopt AI-powered solutions, shaping intelligent digital experiences that drive business value. You work with account teams, specialists, and partners across the transformation journey—from strategy to deployment and adoption. You combine deep technical expertise with business insight to design and demonstrate modern architectures that boost developer productivity and AI capabilities. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that connects technology with measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic technical engagements focused on application modernization, AI, and developer productivity
  • Deliver demonstrations, workshops, architecture reviews, envisioning sessions, and proofs-of-concept
  • Translate customer challenges into modern app and AI solution architectures
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor across the sales and adoption lifecycle, coordinating virtual teams
  • Drive technical strategy and design for complex opportunities
  • Guide customers through architectural decisions for web apps, APIs, microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and serverless
  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable application platforms
  • Promote DevOps, GitOps, platform engineering, and modern software delivery practices
  • Design end-to-end solutions using Azure services, containers, APIs, data platforms, and AI capabilities
  • Engage with customers to understand priorities and align Microsoft capabilities with business outcomes
  • Contribute to pipeline growth and support deal execution with technical inputs
  • Mentor and share knowledge with Solution Engineers and peers
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-obsessed delivery
  • Develop reference architectures and technical guidance to enable successful outcomes
Key requirements
  • Legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field
  • Experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, software engineering, consulting, or cloud engineering
  • Experience designing or helping customers adopt modern application platforms and cloud technologies
  • Experience engaging with technical and business stakeholders in customer-facing environments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts
