Overview

In this role, you own the design of procurement solutions within BMI’s architecture, translating business needs into effective SAP-based designs. You work with Global Process Owners and delivery partners to ensure solutions align with BMI standards, are scalable, and well-documented. You bridge business requirements and technical realities, shaping end-to-end solutions that support BMI’s growth and enterprise goals. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a focus on quality, integration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Create comprehensive, fit-for-purpose solution designs for procurement processes
  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners to capture requirements and map them to effective solutions
  • Assess cost implications with vendors and document impact
  • Ensure designs align with standard, scalable architectures and BMI standards
  • Define and implement optimized system architectures including performance and security considerations
  • Plan integration with existing systems and drive end-to-end data flow
  • Support project delivery, manage risks, and maintain complete solution documentation
  • Lead performance optimization and quality assurance through rigorous testing
  • Stay updated on trends and technologies and propose improvements to BMI landscape
  • Oversee BAU collaboration with service managers to meet SLA targets
  • Communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Coordinate with 3rd party delivery partners to ensure alignment with requirements
  • Maintain documentation accessibility and compliance of solution architecture
Key requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years as an SAP (process area) Solution Architect
  • Extensive SAP knowledge including S/4 HANA and relevant functional areas
  • Strong SAP architecture, configuration, and customization skills
  • Proven ability to design and implement complex SAP solutions that meet business needs
  • Experience with SAP integration technologies, data migration, and landscape design
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration with ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • SAP certification (e.g., SAP MM, SAP SRM, VIM) is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities
