Overview

In this role you shape and maintain the Solution Design for projects within CNA Hardy, ensuring alignment between technical delivery and business goals in the insurance domain. You collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, development teams, and transformation partners to enforce standards and guardrails. You will navigate both Agile and Waterfall delivery, guiding engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-impact architectural outcomes. This is a hands-on, cross-functional, governance-focused role with a strong emphasis on shaping scalable, enterprise-ready solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Craft and iteratively refine Solution Designs and Epics with stakeholders for application, data, or infrastructure elements
  • Support development teams by enabling design adoption, best practices, and hurdle resolution
  • Prioritize deliverables with expert input across architecture and business stakeholders
  • Guide negotiations to maintain architectural alignment among developers, BAs, PMs, and transformation teams
  • Collaborate with other Architects and Enterprise Architects to ensure adherence to technical standards and guardrails
  • Engage in project and BAU planning ceremonies to maintain alignment with Architectural Vision
  • Define and maintain delivery stability and upgrade pathways for technology, frameworks, and infrastructure
  • Present Architectural Overviews in project/change triage meetings to enable delivery
  • Negotiate scope adjustments and ensure changes are implemented
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • 10+ years in technical delivery with architecture experience and familiarity with TOGAF
  • 5+ years in architecture across platforms (ASP.Net, Python, Tiered Architectures, Cloud)
  • Strong SDLC and multi-platform architecture experience; expert in web-based, service-oriented and enterprise architectures
  • Proven ability to manage code quality and review processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery with ability to shepherd agile mindset across teams
  • Experience with insurance or finance-related products
  • TOGAF certification preferred
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and LucidSpark preferred
