As a Solution Architect, you will define and govern the technical integration of Wayve’s autonomous driving software with OEM vehicle platforms. You’ll bridge Wayve’s AI Driver with vehicle systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and scalable integration across customer programs. You’ll translate product needs into precise specifications, work across cross-functional teams, and drive alignment on interfaces, ownership, and validation. This role offers impact at the boundary of software and automotive hardware in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Define and manage the technical architecture for customer vehicle integration (Wayve software ↔ OEM/Tier 1 vehicle systems)
- Collaborate with Product Management to translate product and customer requirements into technical specs
- Define and document integration boundaries and interface contracts with OEMs and suppliers
- Translate discussions into explicit ownership, dependencies, assumptions, and open decisions
- Work with Software Architects to assess feasibility and alignment with core architecture
- Coordinate with Validation Engineers to define verifiable integration tests
- Develop and maintain program-facing technical documentation (interface specs, guides, diagrams, decision records)
- Support program planning by identifying integration complexity, risks, and required deliverables
- Participate in OEM/Tier 1 technical discussions representing Wayve’s architecture and approach
- Act as a technical bridge between customer programs and internal teams to protect core product architecture
- System & SW architecture expertise in ADAS/autonomous driving or vehicle interfaces
- Product boundary definition and ownership/contract understanding
- Vehicle and embedded software knowledge (ECU, timing, diagnostics)
- Automotive communication and architectures (CAN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, AUTOSAR)
- OEM integration experience with automotive parties
- Ability to translate requirements into clear specifications and validation-ready requirements
- Cross-functional collaboration across Product, Software Architecture, Hardware, Validation, and customer-facing teams
