Overview

As a Solution Architect at SNG, you shape architectural strategy across business platforms to enhance customer experience and operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to ensure architectural alignment with business goals and governance. The role involves designing end-to-end solutions, optimizing technology reuse, and guiding platform integration and security. This is a hands-on, governance-focused role that influences strategic technology decisions and delivery. You’ll work from home and in the office, with some travel to our Wembley or Basingstoke sites, contributing to a transforming, value-driven IT landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of architectural solutions across platforms
  • Create and maintain architectural blueprints and technical documentation
  • Ensure solutions align with goals and standards via the Technical Design Authority (TDA)
  • Collaborate with other architects to define end-to-end designs (systems, data, integration, security)
  • Identify opportunities for optimisation and technology reuse and support evaluation/selection of new products
  • Work with business stakeholders, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements
  • Participate in technology governance forums and strategic planning discussions
Key requirements
  • Strong experience in enterprise and solution architecture
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
  • Expertise in SaaS platforms, application integration, and APIs
  • Understanding of DevOps/SecOps practices and agile development
  • Strong consultancy and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercial awareness and focus on value delivery
