Solutions Architect

In this role, you will steer the technical strategy for key accounts, shaping architecture and platform adoption to position Databricks as the foundation of customers’ data and AI journeys. You’ll collaborate with customer architects and cross-functional teams to design scalable, production-grade solutions spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, drive technical wins, and contribute to building a growing specialization that strengthens our team’s depth. This is a high-impact, cross-cloud, customer-facing role with a focus on influence and execution.

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to deployment and growth in consumption
• Lead complex architecture discussions for scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leaders
• Drive technical wins by demonstrating Databricks differentiation through custom-built solutions
• Develop and share an emerging technical specialization/archetype as a go-to resource
• Coordinate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, Partners) to deliver holistic solutions
• Provide structured feedback on customer requirements and competitive gaps to influence product direction

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior hands-on role
• Strong coding in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging, and solution-building demonstrated
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native platforms
• Proficient on Databricks Platform with developing specialization in a domain (e.g., real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance)
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders (whiteboarding, design reviews, trade-off analysis)
• Experience with production deployments on public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including security and governance
• Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth
• Excellent communication translating complex architectures to business value for technical and executive audiences
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience)
