Solutions Architect Databricks Lakehouse

Design scalable data architectures with Databricks across Western Canada, using SQL, cloud services, and machine learning expertise to guide customers.

As a Solutions Architect in Databricks Field Engineering, you will partner with account executives and technical customer leads. You will translate business needs into technology solutions, present data systems, and establish the Lakehouse architecture as a customer standard. The role spans data engineering, data science, and production delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop account strategies with Sales and essential partners
• Present reference architectures and demo applications
• Consult on big data and machine learning projects
• Validate cloud and third-party application integrations
• Promote Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas

Requirements:

• Seven-plus years in customer-facing presales, architecture, or consulting
• Expertise in big data, warehousing, data science, or applications
• Fluency in SQL and database technology
• Debugging and development experience with Python, Scala, Java, or R
• Willingness to travel up to 30 percent
