Lead Solutions Architect (SAP) - Contract - Hybrid (Barrow-in-Furness)

We're looking for an experienced Lead Solutions Architect with strong SAP solution architecture expertise to support a major digital and IT programme in a complex environment.

Contract details

• Duration: 12 months
• Working pattern: Hybrid (Barrow-in-Furness onsite 2 to 4 days per month)
• Rate: 80 PAYE or 108.19 Umbrella
• Clearance: BPSS + SC (or eligible)
• Restrictions: UK Eyes Only / ITAR applicable

What you'll be doing

• Leading the design and delivery of SAP-based solutions aligned to business and customer goals
• Owning solution architecture across the full lifecycle (requirements through delivery and support)
• Driving systems integration, technical strategy, and roadmap planning
• Producing technical proposals and presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Supporting governance, change control, risk management, and protection of systems and information
• Coordinating delivery across internal teams and suppliers to meet service, quality, and version control standards

What we're looking for

• Significant experience as a Solutions Architect / Lead Solutions Architect in enterprise environments
• Strong SAP architecture knowledge (solution design, integration, governance)
• Proven background delivering within large-scale transformation or complex IT programmes
• Confident stakeholder management and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to risk and change
