Solutions Architect, National Security & Defence

In this role you will own the technical relationship with Public Sector customers, guiding security, cost, performance, reliability and best-practice architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate cloud capabilities into tangible outcomes for government, education, healthcare and non-profits. You’ll help shape AWS’s platform by feeding customer needs into roadmaps and mentoring peers. Expect to create and share reference architectures and technical content, and to evangelise AWS technology through workshops, meetups and speaking events. • Own the customer’s technical relationship and advocate for architecture decisions
• Recommend security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency best practices
• Advise on cloud-native reference architectures and document/implement them
• Create, share and promote technical content (white papers, code samples, blog posts) and participate in education activities
• Evangelise AWS technology through workshops, user groups, public speaking and events
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence the AWS roadmap by communicating customer needs
• Mentor and coach others, helping shape the Solutions Architecture organization
• Support customers in transforming solutions and migrating to the cloud

• Experience in design, implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders
• Experience in IT development or consulting in software or internet industries
• Willingness to undergo UK government security clearance and meet residency requirements
• Experience with cloud computing and/or software development/infrastructure roles
