Solutions Architect with Pre Sales Experience

In this role you drive high-impact solution architectures for enterprise client opportunities from a central London base. You will blend deep technical expertise with pre-sales activities to shape proposals and delivery roadmaps. You collaborate with sales, practice, and delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions. Your work helps clients modernize platforms, migrate to cloud, and adopt digital technologies at scale. This is a senior, client-facing advisory position with global delivery exposure.
Responsibilities- Engage in pre-sales activities with sales and delivery teams to win opportunities
- Develop customer proposals, solution architectures, pitch decks, and effort estimates
- Translate requirements into architecture diagrams, delivery plans, and artifacts
- Align solution architecture with business strategy and technology direction
- Build trusted advisor relationships with business and IT leaders
- Maintain ongoing alignment with the solution vision throughout projects lifecycle
- 20+ years of Solutions Architecture or equivalent enterprise architecture experience in customer-facing roles
- Experience with enterprise-scale application platforms and Agile delivery (Scrum)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based development and migration projects (AWS or Azure)
- Proficiency in designing microservices, APIs, and modern integration approaches
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Test Automation, Containerization) and modern Dev/Ops tooling
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, workshops) and stakeholder management
- Experience and openness to travel up to 40%
- TOGAF familiarity or certification desired but not required
- Background in Java/J2EE or .NET with databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Exposure to polyglot languages (Scala, Python, Golang) and API management tools (MuleSoft, Apigee)
