Job Description
Clarus WMS is modern warehouse management software built for fast moving logistics operations. We're growing quickly, and the Solutions Engineering team sits directly between our product and the people using it on the floor every day.
We're also doing something most businesses haven't caught up with yet. We're embedding AI into the way we operate, not as a buzzword, but as a genuine lever for doing better work, faster. You'll use AI to search the knowledge library mid chat, draft and review answers, and turn the questions you couldn't answer into content that means nobody has to ask them again.
This is the entry point into a team with a real career path. You won't be doing the same job in two years.
The Opportunity
If you've run a WMS from the warehouse side, you already know the job. You know what an operator means when they say the pick didn't go through. You know which questions are urgent and which ones can wait until after the despatch cut off. That knowledge is the hardest part of this role to teach, and it's the reason we're hiring people like you rather than career support agents.
You’ll be the first point of contact for Clarus customers, handling live chat and inbound tickets and making sure people get fast, accurate answers. That's the core of the role and you'll get good at it quickly, because you're translating something you've already lived rather than learning it cold.
As your product knowledge builds, the work widens. Configuration queries, implementation support, and the more awkward customer problems that need someone who understands warehouse operations rather than just software. How fast that happens is down to you.
You’ll also shape how the team learns. When a customer asks something that should have an answer in the knowledge library and doesn't, you flag it, and that gap becomes content. Being honest about what you don't know is genuinely valuable here, not a weakness to hide.
This is not a "close tickets and move on" role.
Job Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Some experience in a customer-facing support or service role, software background not required but you need to be comfortable solving problems under pressure
- Clear written communication, you'll be handling live chat and email and quality matters
- Genuine curiosity about how software works, you'll be learning a complex product and need to enjoy that process
- Comfortable saying "I don't know" and knowing what to do next, escalating well and flagging gaps clearly is a core skill here
- Organised and reliable, responses sent, cases logged, follow-ups done
- Quick to pick up new tools and ways of working
- Most importantly, enthusiasm for getting things right, a low ego about asking for help, and the ambition to grow quickly into more complex work
Job Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Live chat and inbound support
You’ll own the front line. Customers come to you through live chat and tickets, and your job is to get them a fast, accurate answer or get it to the right person without dropping the thread. You’ll work the queue with judgement, knowing which issues need to jump and which customers are about to have a much bigger problem than the one they've reported.
Solving real warehouse problems
Most issues that reach you are operational, not technical. Someone's stock doesn't match, a putaway rule is behaving oddly, a label isn't printing an hour before a collection. You'll use what you know about how warehouses actually run to work out what's really happening, then fix it or explain it in language the person on the other end understands.
Building the knowledge library
Every question you couldn't answer easily is a gap. You’ll flag it, write it up, and use our AI tooling to turn it into an article that saves the next person the same twenty minutes. Over time you’ll be one of the main reasons the library is any good.
Growing into solutions work
As you build product depth, you’ll take on configuration queries, support implementations, and get involved in the more complex customer problems. This isn't a promise for later, it's a normal part of the role once you're steady on the front line.
Job Benefits
Progression
You’ll start on live chat and inbound support. Within 6 to 12 months, expect to be picking up configuration and implementation work alongside it. From there the path runs towards senior solutions work, implementation ownership, or a specialism in integrations, depending on where your strengths land. We'll be honest with you about which one fits.
Why Join Clarus WMS?
You’ll get genuine product depth and a real career path, not a holding pattern. The team around you is building something and you’ll be building with them. As you grow, the work grows with you.
