Overview
As a Solutions Engineer, you act as the technical advisor to the UK Commercial Sales team, shaping Splunk solutions to fit client workflows. You drive technical validation, run proofs of concept, and deliver tailored demonstrations to move opportunities toward purchase. You partner with regional sales to uncover needs and articulate value to both business and technical audiences. You stay current on Splunk solutions and help expand product usage at customer sites. This role combines technical acumen with strong stakeholder engagement to accelerate pipelines and customer outcomes.
Responsibilities- Establish and nurture technical relationships within assigned territories
- Lead the technical win by guiding opportunities from qualification through technical and business validation
- Develop technical activity plans to validate Splunk products and realize value post-sale
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager in meetings to discover and map customer needs to Splunk offerings
- Deliver technical guidance via presentations, demos, workshops, and Q&A to validate the solution
- Scope and run Proof of Concepts with defined success criteria and timelines
- Keep knowledge of Splunk solutions up to date
- Maintain timely Salesforce updates on opportunity status
- Clear and appropriate communication in meetings, emails, RFPs, and reports
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills with storytelling ability
