Solutions Engineer

In this pre-sales role, you will guide customers through technical evaluations, act as a trusted advisor for ChargePoint solutions, and shape deployment recommendations for EV charging infrastructure. You’ll engage with customers in person or virtually, support RFPs, and train teams on our products. You’ll cover EVSE, fleet energy management, and third-party integrations, ensuring solutions meet customer needs. Your work enables scalable e-mobility across Europe and supports corporate transformation in fleet operations.
Responsibilities- Lead technical evaluations and articulate solution value to customers
- Perform engineering site or architecture assessments and make deployment recommendations
- Develop and respond to RFPs/Tenders and assist with statements of work
- Provide training on ChargePoint products to customers and partners
- Address EVSE, energy management, and battery storage considerations for fleets (light, medium, heavy duty)
- Identify and resolve technical issues impacting customer satisfaction
- Advise on APIs, integrations with external systems, and best practices for software usage
- Maintain knowledge of electrical installation codes and relevant EVSE standards
- Support cross-functional teams with product management to align development with market needs
- Bachelor or Masters in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years in technical sales or technical consulting
- Experience in electrical engineering, telecommunications, information technology, software development, or technical writing
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills
- Strong customer-facing and relationship-building abilities
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Experience in fleet operations, high-power solutions, battery energy storage, or large facility environments desired
