Solutions Engineer

In this role you act as a technical leader for the UK Regional Government segment, translating Cisco’s solutions into strategic plans that meet public sector needs. You’ll collaborate with business and technical leaders to craft multi-architecture solutions across Networking, Observability, Security, Collaboration, Compute and AI. You drive long-term, complex engagements, influence stakeholders, and deliver impactful demonstrations, BOMs, and RFP/RFI responses. You stay ahead of industry trends to support growth and transformation.

• Serve as regional technical leader for public sector opportunities
• Translate portfolio solutions into actionable plans aligned with customer priorities
• Design multi-architecture solutions spanning Networking, Observability, Security, Collaboration, Compute and AI
• Work on long-term, strategic initiatives and influence technical and business stakeholders
• Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers
• Prepare and support BOMs and RFP/RFI responses with customers and partners
• Continuously develop technical and consultative skills and stay updated on industry trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and take ownership of tasks and workstreams

• 5+ years of technical, customer-facing experience (preferably pre-sales)
• Experience in at least two of these areas: Enterprise Networking (Switching, Wireless, Routing); Network Automation; Programmability; Data Center and Cloud Technologies; On-Prem and Cloud Security; Applications Observability; Cloud Networking; IoT
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks
• Understanding of enterprise technology, industry trends and market drivers
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong storytelling abilities
