Overview

In this role you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and customers in Germany, partnering with Account Executives to demonstrate how CloudBees Unify enables governance, visibility, and trust across existing toolchains. You will own the technical sales cycle from discovery to proof-of-value, translating complex delivery challenges into practical solutions. You will stay at the forefront of DevOps and AI-assisted development trends, feeding field insights back to product teams. This is a customer-facing, impact-driven role with ownership from day one in a fast-moving, globally distributed company.

Responsibilities
  • Own the technical side of the sales cycle: discovery, demos, and proof-of-value engagements
  • Map customer DevOps workflows and toolchains, showing how governance and evidence are layered without replacing existing tools
  • Translate technical requirements into business-relevant solutions, covering audit readiness and safe AI adoption
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, RFPs, and security questionnaires
  • Serve as the technical bridge between customers, Sales, Product, and Engineering and provide field insights for roadmap
  • Stay informed on DevOps and AI trends, competitive landscape, and product updates
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or similar role
  • Fluent German (C2) and English
  • Strong command of DevOps concepts, CI/CD, and modern software delivery
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to engineers and executives
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
