Overview
As a Solutions Engineer in the UK Commercial Sales team, you will bridge technical need and business value, acting as the trusted adviser for client technical staff. You’ll lead technical validation, craft tailored solution positioning, and drive proof activities to unlock new and expanded opportunities. Collaborating with sales and clients, you’ll run workshops, demonstrations, and PoCs to validate Splunk as the right fit and to deliver meaningful value post-sale. This role offers visibility into strategic deals and hands-on engagement with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Establish and own strong technical relationships within the territories supported
- Lead the technical win by moving opportunities from qualification to validation and business validation
- Develop and execute technical activity plans to validate Splunk products and deliver value outcomes
- Partner with Regional Sales Manager in in-person and remote meetings to uncover needs
- Deliver technical guidance through presentations, demos, workshops, and Q&A to validate the solution
- Scope and run Proof of Concepts with defined success criteria and timelines
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk solutions
- Update opportunity status in Salesforce
- Clear and appropriate communication in meetings, calls, emails, RFPs, and reports
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills with storytelling ability

- Self-motivated to learn and fill knowledge gaps
- Innovative in solving customer challenges and proving integrations
- Passionate about solving data-driven problems
- Linux or Windows knowledge
- Basic network connectivity troubleshooting
- Infrastructure as a Service platforms: AWS, GCP and/or Azure
