Role

Splunk Solutions Engineersare responsible forthe technical elements of the sales cycle, enabling our prospects and customers to understand how Splunk can meet their requirements and becoming their trusted advisor.

As a Solutions Engineering Intern you will be based at the location specified in your contract of employment.

Over the course of your internshipyou will gainSplunk skills, someSplunkCertificationsand developabroader domain knowledgeof Sales, Solutions Engineering and Splunk's technology and use casesthatwill give you adetailed understanding of the Solutions Engineering role and enable you to decide if a career in Solutions Engineering is right for you.

Key areas of theSolutions Engineeringrole that you will gainexposure to include

• Deliveringstandardised technical product webinars

• Undertakingtechnicaldiscovery calls/conversations with prospects to discover and/orvalidatesalesopportunities

• Deliveringconsultative presentations, demonstrations and workshops to help prospects understand how Splunk addresses their technical and business requirements, and how it differs from alternative solutions

• How Solutions Engineers own the technical strategy for opportunitiestheywork on

• How wedeterminethe mostappropriate formof Solution Validation for our opportunities and manage them to a successful outcome

• Creatingcustom demonstrations based on customer use-cases and/or data to demonstrate Splunk's ability to meet their requirements

• Respondingto the technical elements oftenders (RFI/RFPs)where sales and technical management have determined it isappropriate tomake a response

• Answeringtechnical questions from prospects and customers

• Makinggeneral recommendations on Splunk solutions architecture

• Identifyingand managingtechnical issuesarisingthroughout the sales lifecycle

Requirements

• Fluent in one of the following: French, German, Italian

• You will bringstrong communicationskills, both verbal and written

• You will be interested in technology and how it can be used to solve business problems

• You will bring Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems to the team

Education

• You arecurrentlyin university andideally about to start your final year following completion of the internship
