Overview
In this hands-on role, you will ensure availability, security, and reliable performance of SQL Server databases. You will build high-quality database solutions, optimize existing systems, and develop procedures that support data-driven business operations. You’ll work closely with teammates to address complex data needs in an investment banking and asset management context. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to impact data reliability and operational efficiency at scale.
Responsibilities- Ensure availability, security, and consistent performance of SQL Server RDBMS systems
- Build high-quality database solutions
- Optimize existing systems
- Develop procedures to support data-driven business operations
- 5+ years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role within Investment Banking and/or Asset/Wealth Management
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis Services (SSAS), and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
- Solid understanding of HTML and JavaScript
- Familiarity with NoSQL/NewSQL databases and their practical application
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
