SQL Server Data Warehouse Engineer

Shape SQL Server data warehouses and reporting solutions onsite five days weekly, emphasizing data quality, scalable models, and efficient querying. Support systems built to precise functional specifications.

This Data Engineer develops complex pipelines and maintains application and data systems through systematic processes. You will load source data into SQL Server using Python and SQL Server Integration Services, while maintaining warehouse infrastructure through Git and Terraform. Responsibilities include validation, monitoring, CI/CD operations, documentation, code review, and requirements discussions. You will lead projects involving multiple stakeholders and protect data confidentiality, security, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, test, deploy, and maintain SQL Server data pipelines
• Optimize warehouse scalability, querying efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
• Maintain data infrastructure using Git and Terraform as applicable
• Map pipeline requirements with peers and stakeholders
• Lead projects toward team and project objectives and key results

Requirements:

• Two years of data engineering project experience
• Two years using various ETL tools
• Python and SQL proficiency for ETL pipeline development
• Quantitative post-secondary education or suitable equivalent experience
• Data warehousing platform experience preferred, not required
