SQL/Python Developer - Software Engineer III

In this role you will drive the design, development and security of trusted market-leading technologies. You work within Corporate Technology as part of an agile team to deliver scalable solutions that support the firm’s objectives. You’ll tackle complex problems, produce high-quality production code, and contribute to architecture and data-driven insights. You will leverage AI-assisted development to improve speed and quality while upholding secure coding standards. This is an impactful, cross-functional role at scale with a focus on reliable, resilient systems.
Responsibilities- Execute software solutions, design and development with non-routine problem solving
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain relevant algorithms
- Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve quality, speed and productivity, with peer review and testing
- Apply SDLC tools and automation to enhance value delivery
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
- Gather and analyze data to visualize and report for continuous improvement
- Identify hidden data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts; advanced experience with SQL, Data Transformation, ETL, Python
- Working knowledge of AWS, Databricks and big data technologies
- Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing and operational stability
- Experience coding in a modern language and SQL-like querying in a large corporate environment
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate and refine outputs for correctness, performance and security
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling and resiliency/security expectations
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile practices (CI/CD, security, Jenkins, Git/Stash)
