Overview

In this role, you lead and advise on hosted and remotely managed SAS environments, guiding complex deployments from kickoff to production. You collaborate with customers, analysts, developers, and implementation teams to ensure high-quality SAS services and outcomes. You drive technical decisions, improvements, and documentation, while mentoring the team and promoting continuous automation and knowledge sharing. This position offers impact across global teams, emphasizing customer success, security, and scalable service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead hosted and remotely managed customer projects from kickoff to go-live with strong technical oversight
  • Provide expert consultation for major post-deployment changes like upgrades and migrations
  • Define and validate technical requirements to ensure stability and alignment with SAS Cloud standards
  • Act as a SAS Administrator for complex tasks, manage container-based apps, and develop SAS/third-party tooling
  • Apply IT Service Management practices for change, incident, and problem management; maintain runbooks and knowledge bases
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and coordinate with support teams and vendors to maintain satisfaction
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to promote team growth and continuous improvement
  • Ensure adherence to security policies supporting secure software development goals
Key requirements
  • Experience writing programs in more than one language
  • 8 years of end user and system administrator consulting or equivalent
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or related field
  • Fluent in English
  • Proof of right to work in UK
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC or higher)
  • Experience in SAS Administration or support
  • Experience in AWS and/or Azure
  • Experience in Kubernetes
  • Experience with UNIX or Linux for enterprise apps
  • Experience managing large cloud IT systems and customer expectations
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
