POSITION IS ON SITE

Senior Controller ready to grow into a Chief Financial Officer role over time. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional to take ownership of core financial operations, banking relationships, and team leadership, with a clear path to step into the CFO seat as they demonstrate capability and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly financial close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and manage monthly borrowing base reporting for the company's asset-based lending facility, including inventory and accounts receivable calculations
• Serve as a key point of contact and represent the company in banking relationships and lender communications
• Oversee the company's commodity (gold) hedging strategy, working in coordination with outside hedging consultants and the management team
• Manage, evaluate, and develop the accounting and finance team, ensuring appropriate workload distribution and performance standards, and making staffing recommendations as needed
• Analyze company-wide financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Advise the management team on strategic initiatives, flag areas of concern, and communicate urgency around issues affecting the financial health of the business
• Partner with ownership and leadership to drive overhead efficiency and cost-effective use of labor and resources across the organization

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Controller or Senior Controller, ideally within a commodity-driven or distribution business
• Experience managing bank relationships and asset-based lending facilities, including borrowing base reporting, preferred
• Familiarity with commodity hedging strategies a plus; gold or precious metals experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing and developing an accounting team
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ambition and capability to grow into a CFO-level role
