Sr Director, ERP Technology & Operations

In this role you lead the ERP Technology & Operations strategy and global platform health to enable Gilead’s value chain. You will guide a multinational team across SAP DevOps, reporting, security, testing, and architecture, aligning with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll drive stable, scalable, and compliant ERP capabilities that support planning, manufacturing, distribution, and finance. You will partner with outsourced vendors and cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate delivery with quality and audit readiness. • Deliver end-to-end ERP build, test, release and run through the global team and strategic partners
• Define SAP environment standards, release management, and operational excellence
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and regulatory standards
• Lead SAP DevOps capabilities including development enablement, transport and release management
• Oversee environment strategy, landscape management, refreshes, and lifecycle planning
• Drive automation to improve delivery velocity and reliability
• Own SAP Reporting & Analytics across SAC and SAP-enabled reporting solutions
• Ensure reporting aligns with enterprise data standards and supports finance/business needs
• Lead SAP security, access controls, and segregation-of-duties compliance
• Oversee ERP testing/validation in regulated environments from strategy to execution
• Ensure quality, compliance, and audit readiness in delivery and operations
• Lead ERP technical architecture including SAP Basis, infrastructure, and BTP capabilities
• Partner with enterprise/solution architects for extensibility and scalability
• Oversee incident and problem resolution for ERP platforms with vendors
• Identify opportunities to improve platform stability and cost efficiency
• Provide operational/technical leadership to ERP programs and releases
• Inspire and grow a global, high-performing team
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliant, high-quality environment
• Manage costs and optimize cost-of-ownership across activities

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant SAP/ERP leadership experience
• Extensive experience leading SAP DevOps, platform operations, and release management
• Strong understanding of SAP security, testing, validation, and architecture in regulated environments
• Experience leading SAP reporting and analytics platforms
• Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams in a global, matrixed organization
• Excellent vendor management and stakeholder management skills
• Strong planning, orchestration, and ability to manage interdependencies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
