Sr Lead, Arch Solutions

In this role you will drive technology decisions and architecture for complex initiatives, collaborating with business and IT teams to improve efficiency and productivity. You will engage in vendor evaluation, establish partnerships, and share expertise through guidance and documentation. You will lead cross-functional efforts on strategic programs, applying strong PM and analytical skills. This position supports Northern Trust’s commitment to service, expertise, and integrity while contributing to a scalable technology environment.

• Understand decision processes for technology choices (capacities, response time, data interfacing, client/server communication)
• Build and manage vendor relationships
• Evaluate and select technologies that fit business and project needs
• Promote knowledge sharing via consulting, presentations, and documentation
• Leverage deep technical and/or business knowledge across disciplines
• Lead complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines or ambiguous issues
• Provide cross-functional liaison to improve efficiency and productivity
• Develop, implement, and administer programs within functional areas
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff to foster participation and teamwork

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience in information system architecture methodologies
• Knowledge of multiple system technologies
• Excellent consultative and communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of several high level languages and Assembler language
