Sr. Manager, Data Science (Remote, GBR)

As Sr. Manager, you lead a data science team at the intersection of machine learning, large language models, and cybersecurity. You translate business needs into technical objectives, align with senior stakeholders, and guide research and production ML efforts. You’ll tackle high-value, adversarial problems at scale, shaping AI-driven security capabilities and contributing to a culture of experimentation and responsible AI.

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, including performance management and career development
• Refine priorities with senior leadership, manage risks and budget, and communicate milestones to business leaders
• Plan roadmaps balancing research innovation with production ML delivery
• Stay current with ML and cybersecurity trends and evaluate new technologies for adoption
• Collaborate with security research, engineering, and product teams to align ML with business objectives
• Identify high-impact ML opportunities with security domain experts for threat detection and response
• Communicate complex ML concepts to stakeholders across the organization
• Guide development of advanced models for malware detection, threat analysis, and automation
• Drive research initiatives leading to publications, blogs, patents, and community contributions
• Contribute to hands-on technical work to maintain deep ML and security expertise

• Advanced degree in CS, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field, OR Bachelor’s with equivalent experience
• 5+ years of data science and machine learning experience
• 5+ years in a technical leadership or team lead capacity
• Proven track record of leading ML projects from research to production
• Ability to translate business problems into technical objectives and communicate with non-technical stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple projects
• Proven experience applying AI to improve decision-making and efficiency
