Overview

In this role you will lead and grow a 10–12 person Workday-focused team to deliver and operate comprehensive Workday capabilities (HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Compensation, Payroll, Security, Reporting, Prism, Extend, and Integrations). You will define the platform roadmap with business and tech stakeholders and drive reliability, security, performance, and scalability. You’ll lead large-scale implementations and transformations, set engineering standards, and promote automation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow a team of 10–12 Workday engineers, integrations developers, and platform specialists
  • Own delivery and operation of Workday capabilities (HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Compensation, Payroll, Security, Reporting, Prism, Extend, Integrations)
  • Define and execute the Workday platform roadmap with business and technology stakeholders
  • Promote platform reliability, security, performance, scalability, and operational excellence
  • Lead large-scale implementations, enhancements, releases, and transformation initiatives
  • Establish engineering standards, integration patterns, governance, and best practices
  • Oversee team capacity, workforce planning, performance development, and career growth
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into technology solutions and measurable outcomes
  • Champion automation, innovation, and continuous improvement across the Workday ecosystem
  • Identify and implement AI opportunities to improve user experience or efficiency
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on Workday capabilities, architecture, and industry trends
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Workday, HR technology, enterprise applications, or platform engineering
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams
  • Deep expertise in Workday architecture, configuration, integrations, security, reporting, and platform operations
  • Proven experience leading Workday implementations, transformation programs, or optimization initiatives
  • Proficient stakeholder management, communication, and strategic planning skills
  • Experience delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in Agile environments
