Senior Software Engineer

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)

Schedule: Full-Time

Compensation: $65/hr W2

Type: Long-Term Contract with Potential for Conversion

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing technology team focused on software modernization, cloud initiatives, and scalable application development. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building high-quality solutions, and working across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise software applications and services
  • Build scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-based solutions
  • Modernize legacy applications and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Develop front-end and back-end functionality using modern technologies
  • Work with complex data workflows, integrations, and business-critical applications
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive long-term solutions

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Strong experience with C#/.NET development
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software architecture
  • Experience working with SQL and data-driven applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Node.js experience
  • Azure or AWS cloud experience
  • Kubernetes and containerization technologies
  • CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications
  • SaaS, eCommerce, or enterprise application experience
  • Large-scale data processing and system integrations
  • Architecture and solution design experience
