SSRS Developer

In this role you will design, build and maintain professional reports to help schools turn data into actionable information. You’ll work with SSRS, T-SQL, Power BI and our in-house tools, translating customer requirements into practical reporting solutions. You join a collaborative Reporting Services team that supports schools across the UK and India, focusing on accuracy, reliability and user-friendly reporting. You’ll contribute to improved reporting quality and customer experience while developing your SSRS and data storytelling skills.

• Design, build and maintain reports using SSRS, T-SQL, Power BI and in-house tools
• Translate customer requirements into practical reporting solutions
• Develop custom reports alongside catalogue/template and built-in reporting
• Query and manipulate data with SQL/T-SQL
• Own reporting requests, manage workload and meet deadlines
• Investigate and resolve reporting issues using diagnostic resources
• Maintain clear documentation and progress notes
• Collaborate with other Report Developers and iSAMS teams on complex requirements
• Suggest efficient ways to meet customer needs and identify recurring issues for service improvement
• Support customers and colleagues with reporting queries
• Contribute to team projects to improve report quality and service efficiency
• Keep knowledge of iSAMS reporting capabilities up to date
• Review internal processes and propose improvements
• Attend occasional in-person team meetings
• Opportunity to take on SSRS Trainer responsibilities
• Deliver SSRS training and consultancy sessions if interested
• Keep training materials aligned with current SSRS functionality

• Hands-on experience creating reports with SSRS
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills
• Experience translating requirements into reporting solutions
