Staff Accountant Public Practice

Staff Accountant expertise meets accounting records and tax preparation at Baker Tilly in Emerald Park, Saskatchewan, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule.

This permanent, full-time position supports Baker Tilly’s accounting and advisory work. You will prepare financial statements, personal and corporate tax returns, and journal entries. The role also includes audit participation, client advice, and collaboration with peers and management on file completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounting records and financial statements
• Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
• Post journal entries and make adjustments
• Participate in audits and advise clients
• Collaborate on file planning and completion

Requirements:

• Accounting diploma or degree from post-secondary education
• At least one year of Canadian public practice experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft O365, QuickBooks Online, Taxprep, and Caseware preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Sound judgment with confidential and sensitive matters
