Staff AI Platform Engineer

Build AI-powered product features at Senpilot using TypeScript, Python, and system design judgment in a hybrid Toronto work model.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will define technical direction while shipping production code across the stack. You will turn ambiguous, cross-cutting problems into maintained systems that engineers can extend. The work spans AI-native engineering, architecture, data modeling, and customer-informed product decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define technical strategy and architecture across security and scale
• Own complex features from scope through measurement and iteration
• Design pragmatic data models and durable schemas
• Talk with customers to shape technical and product decisions
• Mentor engineers and improve standards, tooling, and AI-assisted coding

Requirements:

• Five or more years building and shipping production software
• Hands-on AI-native engineering experience producing reliable output
• Strong system design and architecture judgment across the stack
• Experience leading ambiguous initiatives with multiple stakeholders
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and shaping engineering standards
