Remote Canada role at Mozilla for a Staff Cloud Systems Reliability Engineer working across cloud platforms, automation, and production operations. Help Firefox teams solve complex operational problems.

This broad software engineering role supports Firefox engineering through shared systems, developer tooling, and workflow automation. You will build and operate production systems in cloud environments while collaborating with Cloud Engineering, IT, and Firefox teams. The work spans technical and organizational boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own complex problems across software, cloud, and operations
  • Build tooling that makes systems easier to operate
  • Collaborate with Firefox Engineering, Cloud Engineering, and IT
  • Analyze data, telemetry, and metrics during investigations
  • Identify recurring problems and reusable engineering solutions

Requirements:

  • Substantial hands-on experience operating production systems
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Cloud deployment experience using infrastructure as code
  • Experience with containers, orchestration, databases, or developer tooling
  • Ability to translate software, infrastructure, and operational concerns

Use cloud engineering, infrastructure as code, and operational judgment to strengthen Firefox systems and support Mozilla engineering teams.
