Staff Datacenter Software Engineer

Design ultra-high-performance datacenter software and firmware at Broadcom, using C++ or C across complex multi-processor architectures. This in-person position offers end-to-end technical ownership.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will develop solutions spanning ZephyrOS, OpenBMC, embedded Linux, Yocto, drivers, microcode, and control software. You will work within a small team of experienced engineers and collaborate with interdisciplinary and partner engineering teams. The work covers products from inception through volume production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver datacenter-scale software and firmware
• Own designs across firmware, drivers, microcode, and control software
• Support customer trials and resolve field issues
• Drive validation, testing, and automation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary and partner engineering teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and eight-plus years' experience
• Expertise developing C++ or C for x86 and ARM architectures
• Experience with Linux, Yocto, OpenBMC, or ZephyrOS
• Deep bring-up, driver development, and low-level debugging expertise
• Knowledge of I2C, PMBus, PCIe, Redfish, and DMTF standards
