This Staff Software Engineer role provides senior technical leadership for reliable, scalable, and maintainable payroll software. You will lead architecture discussions, influence technology strategy, and collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Architecture teams. The position also includes mentoring engineers and advancing system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-level and component-level architecture discussions
  • Design distributed systems and microservices architecture
  • Apply Domain Driven Design to complex software solutions
  • Tune performance and improve system reliability
  • Influence technology strategy and scalable engineering practices

Requirements:

  • Seven plus years of software engineering experience
  • Leadership designing and scaling complex software systems
  • Strong architectural design and performance tuning experience
  • Knowledge of clean coding standards and design patterns
  • Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Use distributed systems, microservices, architecture, and reliability expertise to advance Wagepoint payroll technology remotely.
