Overview
In this role you partner with aerospace, defense, and autonomy customers to enable system-level solutions across RF, microwave, navigation, and communications subsystems. You influence architectures, guide design from prototype to production, and help grow defense ecosystems in the UK. You work across teams to accelerate fielding, reuse hardware, and shape product roadmaps. This role offers meaningful impact in advanced defense technology and system integration.
Responsibilities- Act as trusted technical advisor across full architectures including RF signal chains, radar/EW subsystems, and software-defined radio platforms
- Lead architecture and reference design discussions, enabling sensor fusion and hardware reuse
- Accelerate programs by reducing qualification cycles and coordinating between internal RF, MEMS, software, and power teams
- Support market and ecosystem development, identifying early drone, EW, and radar opportunities and strengthening gov-linked partnerships
- 7+ years in Applications Engineering, Field Systems Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Broad knowledge of semiconductors: analog, data converters, power, RF/microwave
- Experience in Radar systems, Electronic warfare, Military communications, Software-defined radio
- MEMS IMUs and navigation systems; Autonomous platforms/drones
- Fluent in German and English; German nationality required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Ability to travel up to 10%
