Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer

Lead full-stack engineering for Capital One Travel Tech in Toronto, using React, JavaScript, AWS, and backend development. Build travel products for real customers.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own technical design and development for cross-functional, multi-platform, fault-tolerant applications. You will work across the travel portal journey, from browsing and comparing options through booking. The work includes frontend and backend development, architecture, engineering standards, and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical design and development of application systems
• Use React, JavaScript, Python, Java, Go, and AWS tools
• Improve developer experience, frameworks, tools, and engineering standards
• Contribute to High Level Design and architecture ownership
• Mentor junior and intermediate associates through engineering practices

Requirements:

• At least six years of hands-on development experience
• At least six years in application or data architecture
• Front-end and server-side development experience in full-stack applications
• Experience mentoring associates and guiding stakeholders
• Agile experience and AWS knowledge are preferred
