Staff Machine Learning Engineer AI SaaS

Build AI-first SaaS products remotely in Canada with Python, Large Quantitative Models, and agentic frameworks at SandboxAQ.

As a lead-level Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will own the full ML lifecycle within the AI Generation Engine team. You will rapidly prototype and validate models, connect AI research with production software, and help create real-world MVPs. The work spans data exploration, model development, evaluation, fine-tuning, and scalable deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design data pipelines for LQM and agentic framework training
• Develop and rigorously test novel ML models
• Engineer features from complex, large-scale datasets
• Analyze model behavior, performance, and failure modes
• Translate objectives into ML development roadmaps

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
• Eight or more years of postgraduate software development experience
• Strong Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, NumPy, and Pandas expertise
• Experience with scalable, highly available ML systems
• Proficiency in MLOps, CI/CD, testing, tracking, and version control
