Staff Platform Engineer AI

Build AI platform foundations with Kubernetes and CI/CD expertise at Motive, working hybrid from Toronto or Vancouver. Drive developer productivity at scale.

As a Staff Engineer on Motive’s Developer Productivity team, you will shape development, build, and delivery systems. You will support SaaS, Mobile, and Embedded/IoT products through secure, scalable distributed services. Your work will advance automation, self-service engineering, local development, testing, and release pipelines across Golang, Ruby on Rails, Python, Kotlin, and C services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define team and platform direction and initiatives
• Build automated bootstrapping and delivery pipelines
• Advance self-service engineering technologies and approaches
• Improve local development consistency and developer experience
• Coach engineers and collaborate on technical designs

Requirements:

• Seven to ten or more years of engineering experience
• B.S. degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience building CI/CD infrastructure with multiple pipeline solutions
• Experience with Kubernetes and distributed release management
• Knowledge of AWS, infrastructure as code, and configuration management
