Overview
You lead the design, build and operation of a greenfield, multi-tenant private cloud platform based on OpenStack to deliver scalable infrastructure for engineering teams. You own platform services end-to-end, emphasize automation, APIs and end-user experience, and drive reliability, scalability and performance improvements. You collaborate across compute, networking and storage while mentoring engineers and shaping technical standards. This role sits at the heart of Arms infrastructure strategy, enabling large-scale workloads and internal cloud capability.

Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate OpenStack services across environments
- Own IaC practices with Terraform and Ansible, creating reusable modules
- Develop platform services and APIs (FastAPI) with Python
- Improve reliability, scalability and performance of the platform
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis and remediation
- Work across compute, networking and storage layers
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform usability
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction and standards
Key requirements
- Hands-on experience with OpenStack projects (Ironic, Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, OVN/OVS, Glance)
- Ansible and Terraform (or equivalent) and infrastructure lifecycle automation
- Strong Linux internals knowledge
- Programming skills in Python and C
- Experience designing distributed systems and APIs
- Operating large, secure multi-tenant production systems at scale
- Full-stack domain expertise across network, storage or compute
- GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, FluxCD, etc)
- DevOps / SRE experience
