Staff Release Engineer

As Staff Release Engineer, you will define the global CI/CD strategy and release architecture to enable safe, fast software delivery across Kaluza. You will lead enterprise-grade release ecosystems and standardize DevOps practices, driving productivity and reliability. The role combines strategic design with hands-on leadership to scale tooling across multiple engineering domains. You will work with cross-functional teams to reduce toil, improve developer experience, and advance AI-enabled release capabilities.

• Architect the release ecosystem strategy and long-term roadmap across engineering domains
• Advance automation, testing, and SRE practices to accelerate safe software delivery
• Define and enforce company-wide DevOps standards and metrics (e.g., DORA)
• Own deployment platforms and IaC tooling (GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD) for multi-tenant SaaS
• Provide technical ownership, mentorship, and upskilling across engineers
• Lead high-impact proofs-of-concept for mission-critical release infrastructure

• Strategic CI/CD & Release Architect: experience designing enterprise-grade CI/CD and internal developer platforms in cloud-native environments
• DevOps & DORA Expert: deep DevOps practices, SDLC automation, and use of DORA metrics to improve productivity
• Technical Mentor & Leader: proven ability to upskill senior engineers and align cross-domain teams
• Infrastructure & Automation Mastery: hands-on with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions; GitHub Enterprise a bonus
