Overview

In this Staff Software Developer role, you lead the design and delivery of complex features for a major cryptographic security product. You provide technical leadership from concept through release, working across embedded software, platform components, client-side tools, and APIs. You’ll mentor engineers, align solutions with product architecture, and help ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable software. Responsibilities
  • Lead complex features from analysis through breakdown, estimation, implementation, validation, and release
  • Translate evolving requirements into a clear technical approach and prioritization
  • Design, develop, test, review, and maintain high-quality software across product areas
  • Coach and mentor engineers and support senior developers in technical leadership and feature ownership
  • Support architecture team in system-level design (availability, latency, cost, data models) and anticipate scale
  • Apply cross-domain knowledge to plan for future evolution of the product
Key requirements
  • A degree, equivalent qualification, or equivalent practical experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
  • Strong software development experience in C, Python, or comparable systems-level technologies
  • Experience designing and delivering complex, multi-component software systems
  • Experience working across multiple software components or layers (embedded software, device drivers, platform components, client-side tools, APIs)
  • Experience providing technical leadership for complex features or major initiatives
  • Practical experience with CI/CD and automated testing practices
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams or disciplines
