Staff Software Engineer

As part of Harness IACM, you will help design and build the platform that automates and governs infrastructure provisioning at scale. You’ll work on a highly distributed system, contribute to core components, and drive quality, performance, and architecture. You will mentor peers, perform code and design reviews, and collaborate with SREs and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable production delivery. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform components
• Author functional specs and design documents
• Own critical system pieces and ensure delivered quality
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex distributed systems
• Establish best practices for quality, performance, and architecture
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership
• Perform peer reviews of specs, designs, and code
• Identify technical debt and scaling issues and drive improvements
• Collaborate with SREs and cross-functional teams on production performance

• 7+ years of experience building scalable distributed applications in Java and Golang
• Design/development of REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs
• Working knowledge of SQL and No-SQL databases
• Strong CS fundamentals with analytical and debugging skills
• Experience in SAAS platform development at scale
• Entrepreneurial mindset and quality-focused execution
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus
• Bachelor in Computer Science
