Staff Software Engineer, Home Infrastructure
Overview
In this role you drive alignment of team priorities with the organization's goals, shaping mid-term technical direction and roadmaps for scalable infrastructure. You collaborate across teams to translate strategy into actionable plans and guide system designs that solve ambiguous problems. You also contribute code and review peers to ensure best practices and robust delivery, while enabling secure, large-scale production systems. You will engage with AI-enabled health and platform initiatives, delivering impactful infrastructure that supports rapid growth.
Responsibilities- Set and communicate team priorities aligned with organizational goals
- Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams
- Develop mid-term technical direction and roadmap within team scope
- Evolve the roadmap to meet future infrastructure needs
- Design, guide and vet systems designs and write code to solve ambiguous problems
- Review code from other engineers and provide feedback on style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in software development
- 3 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, or storage
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
