Overview

In this role you will bridge engineering craft with product instinct to ship high-impact features across mobile, web, and backend. You’ll partner with product, design, and data to scope and deliver initiatives that move business metrics, while shaping robust, scalable systems. You’ll lead design reviews, improve operational maturity, and set technical standards, all while owning end-to-end delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on mobile expertise and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, scope, and ship changes across mobile, web, services, and data layers to move business metrics
  • Architect long-lasting, production-ready systems emphasizing performance, reliability, scalability, offline behavior, and consistency
  • Lead technical design reviews across teams, balancing code, product impact, time-to-ship, and cost
  • Drive release management, observability, incident response, and performance monitoring, including in mobile apps
  • Partner with PMs, designers, and engineering leaders to shape what and when to build; act as a peer in conversations
  • Set the technical bar by prototyping patterns and teaching them across the org
  • Communicate trade-offs clearly to engineers, product partners, and senior stakeholders
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of software experience with significant hands-on coding and end-to-end shipping of product-impacting work
  • Deep mobile app experience (iOS and/or Android; Swift and/or Kotlin; offline sync, push, auth, persistence, networking, REST/GraphQL)
  • Breadth beyond mobile in at least one of web frontend, backend services, data/infra, or platform tooling
  • Strong product judgment with evidence-based decision making
  • Comfort troubleshooting production issues across stacks (crash analysis, latency tracing, release-health debugging)
