Staff Solutions Engineer (UK)

As a Solution Engineer in Kong's Sales organization, you drive the technical sale cycle for Enterprise & Strategic accounts in France and partner with Account Executives to demonstrate value. You nurture relationships through the full sales process, supporting PoCs and onboarding, and coordinate with product, engineering, and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction. You’ll create technical docs and contribute to lead generation activities, all while evangelising cutting-edge API Management and Connectivity solutions. This role offers impact at scale within a fast-paced startup culture.

• Support field sales to articulate value of Kong API Management & Connectivity solutions
• Manage relationships across the full sales lifecycle from discovery to production
• Support PoCs throughout the evaluation process
• Onboard and train new customers and grow revenue with existing accounts
• Coordinate with support, product, and engineering to prioritize customer needs and achieve satisfaction
• Create technical documentation for DevOps, implementations, and services engagements
• Lead lead generation activities such as blogs, webinars, and industry events
• Perform additional tasks as required by manager

• 7+ years of pre-sales Solution Engineering or relevant SaaS/enterprise software experience
• Experience with Open-source technology
• Foundational knowledge of API Management, integration, cloud trends, and open-source business models
• Ability to present and lead discussions with C-level executives, Product Managers, and Engineers
