Overview

In this Staff Engineer role, you lead quality assurance and validation for Arm Neoverse-based platform software and firmware, spanning pre-silicon to production. You drive end-to-end testing, define validation strategies, and elevate the quality culture across the team. You work closely with cross-functional groups to ensure reliable, release-ready software for complex systems. This role offers impact through shaping validation practices and delivering evidence-backed confidence for customer deployments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end QA for embedded system software, firmware, and platform validation across the product lifecycle
  • Provide deep technical expertise in HSIO, LSIO, BIOS/UEFI, RAS, Telemetry, and BMC technologies
  • Develop functional, regression, stress, stability, and performance test cases for embedded Linux stacks and firmware
  • Define validation architectures, strategies, and coverage models for firmware/software stacks
  • Drive validation coverage by identifying gaps and implementing targeted test solutions across firmware, software, hardware, and platform interactions
  • Support silicon bring-up, board validation, firmware integration, and system-level debugging during pre-silicon emulation and post-silicon validation
  • Mentor validation engineers, promoting standard test design methodologies, automation, debugging, root-cause analysis, and engineering excellence
Key requirements
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Firmware Validation, or System Software Engineering with track record of delivering high-quality platform/software products
  • Strong expertise in test architecture, validation methodologies, and quality engineering for firmware and system-level platforms
  • Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills, with scripting (Python, Shell, or Perl) for automation
  • Solid understanding of embedded Linux stacks, system services, device drivers, kernel interactions, and platform integration
  • Demonstrated expertise in pre-silicon and post-silicon validation including simulation, emulation, FPGA prototyping, silicon bring-up, and system-level debug
  • Mentoring and technical leadership
