State And Local Tax Manager

Sandella Sova is proud to partner with a multi-billion dollar, privately held financial services leader right here in Cleveland.

This is a hybrid role.

We are seeking a high-caliber State & Local Tax Manager to join a recently onboarded SVP Tax. This position serves as an integral part of the State Income Tax Compliance process, managing a co-sourcing arrangement with a Big Four firm. You'll also help lead the tax reporting process. Finally, you'll help influence decisions related to audit, controversy, planning, research, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• State Income Tax Compliance : Preparation and review for LLCs, partnerships, and corporate entities.
• Lead the Co-Source : Manage the tax calendar and workpaper systems, in tandem with a Big Four firm
• Tax Reporting: Preparation and review of tax provision filings
• Indirect Tax : Review sales & use and property tax returns
• Strategy: Monitor new legislation, research technical matters, and advise senior leadership

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related
• 5+ years of experience in industry/public accounting
• Public accounting Tax experience preferred
• Experience working in or consulting on multi-billion dollar corporations preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
