Storage Engineer

As Storage Engineer, you will design, scale and operate HPC storage services to meet SLAs within a high-performance research environment. You will work with a DevOps-minded infrastructure team to manage a large, heterogeneous cluster and respond to storage demand from diverse university and research projects. The role focuses on deploying and maintaining parallel clustered filesystems and Linux servers, enabling researchers to access robust storage at scale. - Build, scale and manage research storage services to meet SLAs
- Deploy and maintain parallel clustered filesystems (Spectrum, Ceph, Lustre, Scale)
- Build and deploy Linux servers in CentOS and RedHat
- Collaborate with a DevOps-oriented infrastructure team to support HPC needs
- Contribute to ongoing storage infrastructure expansion and hardware improvements
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure storage reliability and performance
- Experience with HPC storage environments
- Hands-on knowledge of parallel clustered filesystems (Spectrum, Ceph, Lustre, Scale)
- Linux server deployment and administration (CentOS/RedHat)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices ( Puppet, Git, Nagios, Logstash )
