Overview

In this role you design and evolve storage solutions across on-premises and cloud environments to support large healthcare data sets and research efforts. You’ll collaborate with leadership to scale the team’s storage capabilities, enabling secure access to high‑level data for ongoing cure-focused projects. Your work will span migrating and refining storage infrastructure using AWS, with exposure to tools like Weka and Quantum. This role offers real-world impact by strengthening data delivery for healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop storage solutions for on-premises and cloud environments
  • Drive improvements to storage infrastructure to support large healthcare data sets
  • Collaborate with head of service management to align storage strategy with team goals
  • Migrate and optimize parts of the environment for scalable storage delivery
  • Utilize AWS to implement storage architectures and workflows
  • Work with storage tools such as Weka and Quantum to manage data
  • Support cross-functional teams in leveraging data assets
Key requirements
  • Storage architecture background
  • Experience designing storage solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS)
  • Familiarity with Weka and Quantum storage tools
  • Knowledge of data handling for high-volume datasets
  • Ability to work with high-level data sets and healthcare-related data
  • Willingness to leverage on/off-premise storage strategies
  • Networking knowledge considered useful but not required
