Strategic Network Advisor - Director

In this Director role, you will lead high-value advisory engagements across network strategy, sourcing, and transformation for global clients, shaping strategic decisions at the CIO/CTO level. You’ll drive multi-disciplinary teams, contribute to revenue through pre-sales, and build ISG’s market presence with thought leadership. The position sits within ISG’s Network Advisory practice, offering influence across LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, SASE, and security domains. You will operate in a senior, matrixed environment with executive visibility and impact.
Responsibilities- Lead large-scale, complex client engagements spanning network strategy, sourcing advisory, cost optimisation, outsourcing transactions, and transformation programmes
- Act as trusted advisor to CIOs/CTOs and senior tech stakeholders on architecture, commercial strategy, and operating model decisions
- Interpret complex enterprise networks across LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, Contact Centre, SASE, and network security to guide strategy
- Drive benchmarking initiatives and market comparisons to inform sourcing and investment decisions
- Lead technical strategy in pre-sales engagements to influence deal conversion
- Own and shape major client proposals, including solution positioning, commercial structuring, and value articulation
- Develop and publish industry thought leadership, whitepapers, and keynote presentations to strengthen ISG’s market positioning
- Mentor consulting teams to ensure delivery excellence within Network Advisory
- Represent ISG at industry forums, executive roundtables, and promotional events as a subject matter authority
- Deep expertise across enterprise network technologies including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, Cloud Connectivity, Contact Centres, SASE, and network security
- Proven leadership in strategic consulting engagements within sourcing, optimisation, outsourcing, and benchmarking
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills with credibility at C‑level
- Ability to translate complex architectures into commercially grounded strategy
- Advanced analytical, financial modelling, and commercial structuring capability
- Experience influencing and supporting complex consultative sales cycles
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in matrixed environments
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced technical or business qualifications (MBA, equivalent) advantageous
- Strategic and commercially astute thinker
- Confident leading executive discussions and board-level presentations
