Structured Finance Associate EDC

EDC seeks an Associate or Senior Associate to analyze structured finance transactions through modelling, credit work, and project diligence.

Based in Ottawa, with Toronto or Montreal considered for Senior Associates, this permanent position supports EDC's Structured and Project Finance Team. You will research sectors, build detailed cash flow models, benchmark assumptions, and contribute to financing proposals. The role also includes client, sponsor, advisor, lender, and co-financier interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sector research and competitive analysis
• Manipulate data from Bloomberg and Capital IQ
• Analyze project finance loan transactions within deal teams
• Prepare financing proposals and internal credit recommendations
• Track markets and assist transaction portfolio management

Requirements:

• Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent relevant education
• Two, five, or seven years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of credit and capital markets
• Understanding of infrastructure, energy, renewables, or mining sectors
• Strong English communication, diplomacy, and persuasion abilities
